Best Melee Weapons & Bows In Warframe Best Warframe For Melee Frame, And Why?

I”d like to hear some other player”s thoughts on this, as the answer seems to change every time I ask someone.

Đang xem: Warframe best warframe for melee

Some say Excalibur for the Radial Blind insane amounts of finisher damage

Inaros for similar reasons with his pocket sand setting up finishers, insane armor, and general unkillability (I will make this a word).

Thoughts?

To me, it will always be Valkyr. Can”t argue against outright invulnerability, nor Eternal War w/ a ballin” melee weapon.

*

It largely depends on your playstyle, really. None of them are the best hands-down, though a few of them do have good arguments and there”s definitely some contention. (My favorites follow)

-I think I would probably say that Inaros is definitely a great pick for it. Nigh immortality isn”t something to scoff at, and his CC capabilities are fantastic.

-Valkyr with Warcry and her ult is powerful.

-Nidus because of his abilities.

-Wukong is also fun for me.

-Chroma can stack damage like no other lisbdnet.com, and it”s insane. His tanking ability is also hard to match.

-Trinity is also good for it. With her Link augment taking armor off and her healing + DR, she”s tough to put down.

Wukong and Nidus can come back to life and be invisible for a limited amount of time (idk about wukong though and nidus needs 15 stacks) With no worry of taking too much damage once they come back due to their own ability.

Just so I don”t have to open a separate thread, since it is in a similar vein, do you all feel Rhino is clearly outclassed when it comes to this kind of playstyle, even with things like Ironclad Charge giving a significant boost to his survivability and Roar boosting his damage output?

Talking pure melee, nothing else, Chroma. Just a pissed off dragon and your weapon of choice that will do obscene amounts of damage.

I say Chroma because he uses abilities only to tank/deal damage, which means you must use weapons to deal damage. Plus, an Effigy buddy if you want a friend!

Just because I like being contrary and weird:

MAG! (Yes, I actually use Mag as a melee frame.) Pull brings them close and knocks them down, Polarize restores shields and removes armor, and random Crushes in the middle of a horde of enemies does a lot of damage. Ironically, I frequently out-do my teammates when I do this…

Other than that, Eternal Warcry Valkyr is always a melee queen. (I don”t like Perma-Hysteria, tbh. Takes the fun out of things.)

Impressed no one said Ash with CL yet, can instakill most enemies and along with arcane trickery invisible almost all the time with no energy needed ( and if it doesnt proc, you can always use smokescreen).

depends. some favour outright invulnerability and tankiness (Valkyr, Wukong, Chroma), while others prefer to blend melee with Crowd Control for an easier time vs groups (Excalibur, Inaros, Rhino). it”s personal preference, either way enemies can”t fight back against either technique.

personally I say experiment, there are plenty of frames that have something which synergizes with melee, some better than others, but all somewhat different. try them all out!

Shield of Shadows Nekros is my pick.

90% damage reduction from Shield of Shadows on top of 1415 armor for a total of 97.9% damage reduction is nothing to be trifled with. On top of that, Nekros is capable of generating health orbs and regenerates 5 health for every enemy killed within 10 meters of him.

You use Zenurik and run a Life Strike melee and never run out of health or energy or Naramon and also never run out of health or energy because Despoil, Equilibrium, and your massive damage reduction has you covered.

my favorite setup is excal with nikana prime and i use slash dash augment. i use mostly melee weapon and i don”t use exalted blade. slash dash to a group of enemies to get your melee combo started and use radial blind if cornered or for heavies.

Do melee abilities count as melee or does it have to be melee attacks only?

What about buffs/debufs/CC? Does using that still count as “melee only”. Just how pedantic and anal are we about what we consider melee only?

eehhh

He”s not bad, though he is outclassed for sure. He”s not the best choice tank frame, simply because the recasting and the nature of his abilities makes him a bit less apt for melee than frames with built-in damage mitigation and more effective CC. You are also forced to build him a pretty specific way for Iron Skin to scale as far as the other tanks.

Chroma has the same pitfalls, with his Vex armor leaving him vulnerable when he needs to recast. Same reason I left Nezha out of my list, actually.

If he didn”t have to recast or rely on energy-hungry abilities, it”d be a lot better. As he is, even with augments, it”s harder to bring him to the same level as other top-tier melee frames.

Don”t get me wrong, he”s more than capable and can lay down damage for days, but his abilities are costly and leave him vulnerable. He also needs specific mods for any of his abilities to be strong enough to make a difference in combat.

Let”s leave it at “Melee range with Melee equipped”

Depending on loadout and playstyle, nearly every frame has a viable pure melee build. Out of all of the frames so far, Wukong”s kit is tailored as the most specifically pure melee skill set. His 1 is a melee poke. His 2 is invincibility when combined with a Rage mod. 3 is a melee range stun and a method of getting into and out of melee combat range. And his 4 is an exalted ability that gives him a melee staff that derives its stats from your equipped melee. As I said, nearly every frame, when set up in a melee build, can be extremely effective. But in terms of being a frame inherently geared towards melee, Wukong is the most “pure”.

The problem with Rhino and melee, and frankly most of the other frames, is that they can survive melee just fine using their abilities to control or lock down enemies, but their damage can”t keep up with the scaling of the enemies. He can lock down large groups of enemies for long periods using stomp, and between Ironclad Charge and Iron Skin, he has great damage mitigation, but he just doesn”t do the damage. Since roar doesn”t scale, there will be a threshold where it will no longer make a noticeable difference. Sure, that threshold will be higher than some frames, but not enough to consider him in a “pure” melee capacity.

Inaros since he can”t die, which allows you to melee forever. Plus you can do a finisher at any moment with pocket sand.

Trinity and Oberon.

Front-line combat with the ability to support their allies, as well as themselves, and not have to give up a slot for Life Strike, leading to more powerful individual swings.

Valkyr Eternal War. I main that, with 299 strength and arcane grace and guardian, I have insane health and armor while whippinh around with any heavy, light melee. I prefer Gas Atterax or Gas/Electric Secura Lecta.

Naramon

you become the melee (with enough crit & speed)

frame disappears you are only a bunch of hit sparks

Naramon makes you pure melee.

I have a special Banshee melee build I like to use. Throw on a copy of Narrow Minded to pull Silence”s range in close and speed around the map. I enjoy staying mobile, so this suits my playstyle quite well. Get a corrosive/blast Secura Lecta status build with Primed Reach for extra fun. Knock down the entire map at once.

Nezha”s another fun choice if you”re like me. Warding Halo for survivability, Divine Spears for CC. Zip around and hit everyone with status melee.

Inaros for me.

More specifically, a combination of Rage on Inaros + Life Strike on a decent melee weapon. Throw in Arcane Guardian, too, if you have access to arcanes. Oh, and for Lotus” sake, get rid of his default stance and equip Nekros Noble or something.

On low levels he”s absurdly tanky, to the point of being able to charge in head first into a bunch of level 80 Nullifiers, chop everything up and move on to something else.

On higher levels (past 100) his Dessication is simply invaluable, because not only finishers hurt like hell, they also instantly restore him to full health.

On absurd levels, same Dessication coupled with a Covert Lethality dagger allows him to keep on killing, but at this point you”ll want Naramon to stay hidden and more importantly, alive, because a level 150-ish Corpus Tech Eximus can kill you in 1-2 bullets, not to mention Bombards or other big nasties.

Eternal War Valkyr is a close second, but it”s more of a personal preference – my favorite melee weapons are heavy blades/maces (Galatine, Jat Kittag, War, Fragor…) and Valk just looks a bit silly with a metal slab almost her own size in those tiny hands.
