Peyton Roi List, known as Peyton List, is an American actress best known for her roles in the “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” films and the Disney Channel series “Jessie.” The actress started working at a young age and subsequently found commercial success acting for movies and TV shows. In addition to her work on-screen, she has released several singles.
Peyton Roi List was born on April 6, 1998 in Florida, USA. She has two brothers: her twin, Spencer, and a younger brother named Phoenix. Both of her brothers are actors as well.
Growing up, Peyton attended The Carroll School, the New Voices School for Academic and Creative Arts and Oak Park High School. She graduated in 2016.

Peyton started her career as a child model in 2009 when she appeared on the cover of American Girl’s 2009 Back to School issue. Several years later, in 2011, Peyton modeled for Justice Magazine. In addition, Peyton has done hundreds of smaller scale advertisements.
The young actress made her first foray into acting with a number of small appearances in television and film. Her first credited appearance was on the TV show “All My Children” as the character Bess. That same year, she made a cameo appearance in the film “Spider-Man 2” uncredited.
In 2008, Peyton appeared in the movie “27 Dresses” as a younger version of the character Jane Michols. Two years later, she was cast in “Remember Me” alongside Robert Pattinson.
In 2010, Peyton began working with Disney. She appeared in a number of smaller roles, including the horror film “Bereavement” and “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” before she was cast as Holly Hills in the comedy “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules.” Her role in the movie was one of the roles that brought her the most attention and fame. She later reprised her role for the sequel, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days.”
Following that movie, Peyton began working more closely with Disney Channel. She was cast as Emma Ross on the series “Jessie.” The show drew in millions of viewers and became one of her biggest roles to date. The TV series ran for four seasons and got its own spin-off named “Bunk’d,” which Peyton joined.
Peyton went on to star in a number of movies and shows, including the Disney Channel Original Movie “The Swap,” “The Thinning,” “The Outcasts” and more. In 2018, Peyton announced she would leave “Bunk’d” and stop working with Disney Channel, though she still is part of the Disney Channel Circle of Stars.
Peyton was cast as the lead in the Hulu series “Light as a Feather.” She voiced Batgirl in the movie “Batman: Hush,” starred in the series “Cobra Kai,” and nabbed a role in “Valley Girl.”
