Nick Kolcheff, known as NickMercs on social media, is an American Twitch streamer and YouTube star best known for his Fortnite videos and world records. Nick streams primarily competitive shooting games and he’s known for his aggressive play style. 

He is a former MLG National Champion and holds multiple world records for Fortnite; in addition, Nick competes in championships across the world. Over the past several years, he has won more than $13,000 in Fortnite prizes. For many years, Nick was a member of 100 Thieves before signing with FaZe Clan in 2019.

Nick Kolcheff, known as NickMercs on social media, was born on November 21, 1990 in Detroit, Michigan, the United States. 

As of September 2021, Nick has more than 6.1 million followers on Twitch, 4.05 million subscribers on YouTube, 2.5 million followers on Instagram, 2 million followers on Twitter and 1 million followers on TikTok. 

Nick started his career streaming and uploading videos about Gears of War in the late 2000s. During that time, he played Halo professionally. 

In 2010, he started streaming under the alias justin.tv. He used his success on Gears of War to build a following. A year later, he created his YouTube channel and started making Call of Duty videos as well as Outlast videos. His YouTube channel has since acquired 420 million cumulative lifetime views. 

Nick joined Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag’s organization 100 Thieves in 2018 as a content creator. During this time, Nick’s channel really started to take off after his team broke the world record for total kills in Fortnite (they had a total of 54). xPolitics, MannyinCali, TozSlays, and JuicyMutt ended up breaking that record with 59 kills. 

Nick was the first-ever winner of Fortnite Friday with SypherPK. He won $2,500 in prize money. 

Since starting his gaming career, Nick has become known for his Fortnite skills and holds several world records; in addition, he competes in tournaments around the world. He is a former MLG National Champion. Over the past several years, he has won more than $13,000 in Fortnite prizes. Nick streams primarily competitive shooting games and he’s known for his aggressive play style. 

In 2019, Nick split from 100 Thieves after a reported falling out; he cited poor management of the group and failing promises. In May of that year, he joined FaZe Clan. He renewed his contract in 2020. 

Over recent years, Nick has had multiple offers from other streaming agencies. However, he has spoken out saying he will stay with Twitch for the time being as his primary streaming platform. He signed a multi-year exclusive streaming deal.
