Mattia Polibio is an American TikTok star best known for his lip-sync and comedic videos on the video-sharing platform TikTok. Mattia joined the video-sharing platform TikTok in November of 2018; his first video to reach more than 100,000 likes was a video of Mattia and a friend sharing a lollipop. The social media star grew his account in the years since creating it and now has amassed more than 5,4 million followers on TikTok.

Since becoming popular, Mattia has come under fire for using a racial slur when filming a video with his friend. He later apologized.

Mattia Polibio was born on May 16, 2003 in Totowa, New Jersey, the United States. He has one brother named Gianluca. His father is Italian and his mother is Mexican, and he is fluent in both Italian and Spanish. 

As of September 2021, Mattia has more than 349,800 followers on Twitter, 317,000 subscribers on YouTube, 1 million followers on Instagram, and 5.4 million followers on TikTok. 

Mattia joined the video-sharing platform TikTok in November of 2018 and he began posting content to his account. His first batch of videos focus primarily on dueting existing videos. 

Mattia’s first video to reach more than 100,000 likes was a video of Mattia and a friend sharing a lollipop. It was captioned, “we’re 100% straight don’t get it twisted.” The social media star grew his account in the years since creating it and now has amassed more than 5 million followers on TikTok. Many of his videos will receive well over one million views. 

Mattia created his YouTube channel in 2019 and has since periodically posted videos. His content includes mostly lifestyle and vlog-style content, including getting his first tattoo, reading dirty fanfic pieces, and more. 

Since becoming popular on social media, Mattia has come under fire for some controversial moments. In December 2019, Mattia used a racial slur when he filmed a video with his friend Alejandro Rosario. Following the video, which went viral, many of his fans called for Mattia to be “canceled.” Fans also wanted him to apologize for the language. He later apologized for using the racial slur. 

Shortly after, Mattia was rumored to have been killed after a fake news headline spread among his fans. However, Mattia kept posting on his TikTok account, to prove he was alive. 

He later opened up about cancel culture in an interview. “It’s a controversial topic, but I don’t think people will agree with what I’m saying just because I’ve been canceled,” he said. “For example, if someone says something or does something wrong, instead of canceling the person, we should educate them and tell them why it’s wrong instead of just canceling the person in general.”

Mattia has also faced a number of rumors in relation to his dating life as well. For a period of time, he was rumored to be dating Cynthia Parker, who previously dated TikTok star Chase Hudson. The two were spotted together in public, but never confirmed their relationship. 

“I’m not going to name my exes, [but] who I’ve talked to,” he eventually said. “Cynthia [Parker] — we commented on each other’s TikToks. Then she DM’d me, and I answered, [then we] started Snapchatting, started FaceTiming. [We] met at Social Bash, whatever there happened, and then we talked and talked until we had to end things on February 13 or 12…. That’s basically the story behind that.”

Mattia’s only confirmed relationship has been with Jenna Hablitz. In a livestream in Fall 2019, Mattia said his ex was “manipulative” and confirmed he was single.
