Pros:

  • One of the highest single target damage outputs in League;
  • Great utility with her silver bolts;
  • Good scaling throughout game;
  • Snowballs heavily if fed;
  • True damage on Tumble (Passive) means she does not rely on items like Infinity edge to deal true damage.

Cons:

  • Weak early game due to short range and no escape mechanism pre six;
  • Targeted by enemy team as a high priority once identified as an ADC;
  • Silver bolts is difficult to farm efficiently due to its nature as a skill shot.

How to play the best ADC champion for your team composition

When playing bot lane you want to focus on farming up until level six. On virtually every champion your potential is only unlocked once you land your ultimate ability which has great range and can deal tons of AoE damage if they clump up enough.

This also synergizes perfectly with any knock and slows from teammates such as an Ezreal Mystic Shot or Nunu Blood Boil.

The biggest mistake players make in lane is using their abilities on minions rather than the opposing champion. Opponents will learn to play around your cooldowns and you’ll never hit another ability again, even if it means taking a free hit from them.

Your role as a carry is to last hit as many minions as possible to maximize gold earned and keep up with level/item progression of the enemy team members. If you’re not pressed for time I’d recommend holding off until mid-game where all those hard earned items start to take effect and really boost your potential damage output.

Tips on how to be a good ADC player

Hug your turret

You might have heard this one before, but do you actually do it? Do you know why you’d want to hug your turret? If not, here are some reasons:

It makes farming safer. This is super important since last hitting is so crucial in botlane. The more farm you get, the better items you can buy, the better you will do in teamfights.

If you get ganked, hugging your turret gives you time to react to it and either fight them off or go back home. It’s much more safe than running around through the whole river.

You can’t get counterganks if your enemy is stuck out of position because he needs to run towards his tower to be safe.

Hugging turrets also has another benefit: it makes junglers slightly mad at you!

Play safely

You might be thinking “But wunderwafe, ADC isn’t a very safe champion”. And this is true for some ADCs. But most ADCs need to stay alive in order to do their job effectively.

Know your limits

This one should be obvious, but I see so many people doing this wrong or not knowing when they have to do something differently. Basically there’s this term “low elo” where people tend to only look at their own champion and how good he is in certain situations instead of looking at the bigger picture.

You need to think about your team composition and whether it’s good for that specific game or not.

Reasons why you should play an AD Carry over other roles, such as mid laner or jungler

  • There’s those times when they don’t ban your champion. So cool! Think about it – an entire team devoted to the objective of winning the game, all for you! You can kick back and relax while they work hard to make sure you win every lane! What a nice service for their carry!
  • The jungle position is very uncertain this season because of all the new masteries and items. It’s a lot of pressure to be in that position when you know that if you mess up, your team can lose games – while as an ADC, YOU CAN’T LOSE GAMES!
  • There are so many cute skins for ADCs this season, such as “Surprise Party Fiddles” and “Battlecast Urgot”. How could you possibly resist not buying them?
  • You don’t have to put yourself last every single game either, unlike supports who will never get itemization unless their ADC dies five million times and gives up.
  • If you jump into a ranked queue and just pick Ashe because you feel like it, there is 0% chance the enemy team will go URF mode and just kill everyone.
  • Support is a hard role because they have to be the one to initiate fights – but if you’re an ADC, you can just sit in the background and let your support use all their mana on abilities! How nice of them! And if they die because they used their abilities, well… it’s not your fault! Not at all!!
  • Supports always need to buy Doran’s Shield, but ADCs get away with buying Doran’s Blade for a huge advantage early game before going Infinity Edge or Bloodthirster or whatever item was essentialized this season because “ADC main bro”

FAQ

What is the best ADC to Main?

If you are into Esports, then chances are that at some point in your life you have heard of the video game League Of Legends. So I ask myself what is the best ADC to Main? My opinion on this matter is Vayne.

Vayne for me has always been my most played ADC since season 2.

Her kit with her W and Q make it easy to survive teamfights aswell as chasing down people who are trying to get away, she also deals large amounts of damage with her E which makes it easier for someone like me who cannot yet pull off some crazy kiting skills, obviously if i could do that then i would just go Ashe or Ezreal but sadly that takes time!

Her abilities all synergise very well with each other, for example her W stacks on your Q so if you are quick enough you can burst down a target instantly.

Her E is an AoE slow which allows you to get away from enemies by slowing them or chase down fleeing targets. I feel that Vayne is the best ADC to Main because overall she has good damage and decent abilities overall making it easy for me to farm up my skills and go into mid game without too much trouble.

Since the change of season 5 where they removed Grez’s Spectral Lantern i feel she has become even stronger in terms of early game play because it allowed people who could not CS very quickly to get jungle pressure off their lane opponent this also helped players me who were at lower ranks to take advantage of not being able to jungle.

I feel that this was good for the game overall because it allowed people who had lower elo, which is normally where you want to be at to improve your gameplay so they can climb the ranks and become better players which in turn makes it more enjoyable for everyone.

However Vayne seems to have fallen out of favour recently probably due to the fact that she has no escapes other than her ultimate making her very vulnerable especially with all the assassins coming into play currently causing them to be picked or banned.

If you are new to Vayne then i would reccomend watching some videos on how others play her since there are many different ways of playing but sadly i cannot link any here due to copyrights.

Who is the best ADC wild rift?

In season 3 when the meta was ad/ap carry + support, she was a top tier pick. In season 4, when bruisers became stronger in the meta, she fit the role of an ADC really well and didn’t lose her strength even after changing the meta.

She got even more popular in pre-season 5 and is now widely used among pro gamers and amateurs alike. I think that speaks for itself on how good she is.

She scales really well with items unlike other marksman such as Caitlyn or Ezreal which makes it easier for her to get strong later in the game like Tristana or Kog’maw which allows her to deal damage that no other ADC can do.

I think you should consider playing her now that she’s free!

Which ADC scale is best?

League of Legends is a game that gets updated every once in a while. This means that there are generally changes to the meta for better or for worse depending on how it goes.

The most recent example of this is Ashe getting reworked into being an adc nuker with her hawk service which allows you to see the enemy team movements. However, the current best ADC scales are Vayne and Caitlyn which aren’t necessarily affected by them!

Conclusion

Season 5 of League of Legends is finally here and it’s looking like its going to be a great one. The meta has been shaken up with the introduction of Aurelion Sol, who will surely shake things up in the mid lane.
