Both Jaden and her brother Julian are known for being the youngest boy and girl to surpass 1,000 career points at the varsity prep level. At just nine years old, The University of Miami started recruiting Jaden for their college program.
Jaden Newman was born on June 13, 2004 in Orlando, Florida to parents Jamie and Vivian. She has one brother named Julian, who is known as a basketball prodigy. Growing up, Jaden played basketball competitively with her brother, following in his footsteps.

Jaden started her career as an athlete early: in just third grade, she began playing on the varsity team at Downey Christian School in third grade. At nine years old, Jaden averaged 14.8 points and 7.5 assists at the high school level. Both Jaden and her brother Julian are known for being the youngest boy and girl to surpass 1,000 career points at the varsity prep level.
Her debut drew national attention: she appeared on national TV programs like “The Queen Latifah Show.”
In addition to her nation-wide attention, the University of Miami began recruiting the young star at just nine years old to play in the NCAA Division 1 program in Miami later on. The star is allegedly hoping to play for University of Connecticut, one of the biggest programs in the country.
Jaden continues to draw attention as she gets older: in 2015, she beat basketball star Stephen Curry in a 3-point shooting contest.
In 2019, the basketball star made her first foray into the music industry and released her debut single: “I Run It (feat. Chandler Broom).”
Jaden keeps her personal life quite private and it is unclear whether or not she is dating anyone.
