India Westbrooks, better known on social media as India Love, is an American social media star and artist best known for her role on “The Westbrooks.” The reality show gave India and her sisters a lot of exposure to grow their social media followings. India became best-known for her popular Instagram account as well as her now-defunct Vine account. 

In 2018, India started her career in the music industry with her debut single “Talk Yo Sh!t.” Since then, India has released a number of new songs, including #PRETTY featuring will.i.am. India was mentored by will.i.am, a member of the global phenomenon and Grammy Award-winning group Black Eyed Peas.

India Westbrooks, better known on social media as India Love, was born on February 3, 1996 in California. She has several sisters: Brooke, Bree, Crystal and Morgan. 

As of December 2020, India has more than 4.9 million followers on Instagram, 186,900 followers on Twitter, 28,200 subscribers on YouTube, 7,700 followers on Facebook, and 2,970 followers on TikTok. 

India first became well-known as a member of the reality TV series “The Westbrooks.” The TV show followed India and her sisters as they attempted to replicate the Kardashians and their success. India was known as the youngest sister and the most popular on social media as well. When the show was airing, she had more than a million followers on Instagram.  

The reality show gave India and her sisters a lot of exposure to grow their social media followings. India became best-known for her popular Instagram account as well as her now-defunct Vine account. Once the show started airing, India quickly grew her following on Instagram to more than 2.5 million followers. 

In 2018, India started her career in the music industry with her debut single “Talk Yo Sh!t.” She wanted her song to be about self love and acceptance. “I just wanted to highlight self-love itself because I feel like that is a really important aspect in my life that I wanted to grasp and I wish I could’ve learned it at a younger age,” she told Paper Magazine. 

Since then, India has released a number of new songs, including #PRETTY featuring will.i.am. India was mentored by will.i.am, a member of the global phenomenon and Grammy Award-winning group Black Eyed Peas. “India is herself on a journey as a rising music artist in a very tough business,” will.i.am tells PAPER of his protege.

Growing up, India experienced a lot of bullying and hatred from other people. Once she started her social media accounts, the bullying continued – this time from anonymous people. 

“I went to a Christian middle school and I got bullied there. I never understood why no one wanted to sit with me, everyone was cliqued up and they spoke behind my back. It was really weird for me because I am a Christian and very into God and I just never understood why at this school specifically, [my experience there] was that much worse,” she told Paper Magazine.
