Rumay Wang, better known online as Hafu, is an American Twitch streamer and professional gamer best known for her gameplay of World of Warcraft and Hearthstone. Hafu was first introduced to the MMORPG World of Warcraft by her friends in high school and later dropped out of college to pursue gaming full-time. Hafu has since become known as a popular streamer and skilled gamer focusing on World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Among Us and more. She frequently has thousands of views on her livestreams, and her Twitch has more than a 1.3 million followers. In 2019, Hafu joined G2 eSports as a Teamfight Tactics streamer. 

Hafu has also spoken out a number of times about sexual harassment in gaming.

Rumay Wang, better known online as Hafu, was born on April 18, 1991 in Newton, Massachusetts. She was born to Chinese immigrants from Beijing. Rumay grew up in Lexington with her family and she now lives in Fort Worth, Texas. 

As of September 2021, Hafu has more than 1.3 million followers on Twitch, 319,400 followers on Twitter, 151,000 followers on Instagram, and 304,000 subscribers on YouTube. 

Hafu was first introduced to the MMORPG World of Warcraft by her friends in high school. Hafu went on to study at Bentley University, but she ended up dropping out to focus on her gaming career. 

Hafu has since become known as a popular streamer and skilled gamer focusing on World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Among Us and more. She frequently has thousands of views on her livestreams, and her Twitch has more than a 1.3 million followers. 

The gamer has competed in multiple World of Warcraft tournaments and placed first in MLG Orlando 2008, MLG Dallas 2008, and NA Blizzard Regionals 2008. She later placed third in ESL Leipzig 2008 and Blizzcon 2008. 

For a brief period of time, Hafu played Bloodline Champions; she placed first at Dreamhack Summer 2011. The gamer has also played a number of chess games on stream as well. She won second place at the PogChamps chess tournament in 2020. 

In 2015, she made an appearance on Smasher’s Legends of Gaming as a coach. 

In 2019, Hafu joined G2 eSports as a Teamfight Tactics streamer. 

Hafu has also spoken out a number of times about sexual harassment in gaming. “When you have a tournament and there’s just one girl in a sea of guys, the Twitch chat is disgusting,” Rumay “Hafu” Wang, a Hearthstone player for Cloud9 and longtime Twitch streamer, told Forbes.

She has been troubled by the amount of negative comments, sexist comments and inappropriate comments she faces as a female gamer, in Hearthstone and beyond. “When you have 70,000 people watching a stream, and all you see is terrible things being said about you, it’s kind of like, why am I competing?” she says. “[Viewers] know to press where it hurts, right? And when you kind of show where it hurts, people will just keep pressing.”
