Lee Sang-hyeok, known as Faker or T1 Faker on social media, is a South Korean professional gamer and social media star widely considered to be one of the best League of Legends players of all time. The professional gamer is known for his high-level mechanical skills and versatile champion pool. Faker is the first player to ever reach 1,000 and 2,000 kills (in 2020) in the LCK. He is the second-ever player to ever have played 500 games. The professional gamer is known as one of only two players worldwide to have won the League of Legends World Championship three times. Faker took home gold in 2013, 2015 and 2016. 

In 2013, he joined LCK team SK Telecom T1 and has been playing as the team’s mid laner ever since he joined. In 2020, he resigned with the team until 2022 and became a part-owner in the team.

Lee Sang-hyeok, known as Faker or T1 Faker on social media, was born on May 7, 1996 in South Korea. Faker started playing video games early on in his life and found League of Legends in 2011; he quickly mastered the game and later dropped out of high school to pursue a career in gaming. 

As of September 2021, Faker has more than 3.5 million followers on Twitch, 1.44 million subscribers on YouTube, 704,500 followers on Twitter, 656,000 followers on Instagram and 701,975 followers on Facebook. 

Faker, formerly known as GoJeonPa, is widely considered to be one of the best League of Legends players of all time. As a result, the player has taken home millions of dollars in prize money. It is estimated that he has won more than $1.2 million in prize money, and ranks in the top 100 players across all eSports games in amount of prize money won. 

Faker has three different League of Legends skins because he won three different World Championships, including SKT T1 Zed (2013), SKT T1 Ryze (2015) and SKT T1 Syndra (2016).

The gamer frequently plays LeBlanc, Zed, Syndra, Azir, Ahri, and Ryze.
