Damon Barlow, known on social media as Karma, is a Canadian professional gamer best known as the three-time Call of Duty World Champion. Damon played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for many years but only started to excel when he started playing Call of Duty: Black Ops. Damon is considered one of the most successful Call of Duty players. He is a three-time Call of Duty World Champion and took home gold in 2013, 2014 and 2017. In addition, he took home a gold medal at the X Games. The Call of Duty community will often call Damon “3 Rings” or “GOAT” because he was the first-ever player to win three Call of Duty World Championships. He retired from professional Esports in 2020. 

Damon Barlow, known on social media as Karma, was born on July 17, 1993 in Ottawa, Canada. Damon is married to fellow gamer HollyyLive and the couple have a daughter together named Bella. 

As of September 2021, Karma has more than 414,100 followers on Twitch, 663,100 followers on Twitter, 268,000 subscribers on YouTube, and 16,100 followers on Instagram. 

Damon first began playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for many years, however, he did not get noticed for many years because the game wasn’t popular. It wasn’t until he switched to Call of Duty: Black Ops that he started to excel and found great success. 

The gamer signed with his first team, yunGunz, and played his first major event at MLG Columbus where he placed tenth. Once his career as a professional gamer got underway, Karma played with a number of teams, including Impact, CompLexity Gaming/Evil Geniuses, OpTic Gaming, and FaZe Clan. 

Damon is considered one of the most successful Call of Duty players. He is a three-time Call of Duty World Champion and took home gold in 2013, 2014 and 2017. Damon is one of the only players to win the World Championship during his first-ever time competing at the event. In addition, he took home a gold medal at the X Games. 

Damon had 24 major championship wins during his career; thirteen of those wins happened with OpTic Gaming. 

The Call of Duty community will often call Damon “3 Rings” or “GOAT” because he was the first-ever player to win three Call of Duty World Championships. 

The professional gamer retired from competitive Call of Duty gaming in June 2020. The gamer said retirement was his choice, and he didn’t feel like the games were as fun anymore.

First and foremost to my wife Holly and my daughter Bella who motivate and inspire me every day,” Karma wrote in a statement released by his most recent team, the Seattle Surge. “To my teammates throughout the years including my teammates on the Seattle Surge. To all the fans that have followed me throughout my entire career from my three championship seasons through to today with those in the city of Seattle I’d like to say thank you for your support as I enter the next chapter in my life. I wish the best to the Surge organization and thank them for their understanding and guidance through this tough decision.”
