Brittany Xavier is an American fashion blogger and social media star best known for her fashion blog Thirfts and Threads. Her blog initially covered fashion finds and splurges, but later included more lifestyle topics and travel topics. In 2015, Brittany’s blog won the Breakthrough Fashion Blogger Of The Year award at the Bloglovin’ Awards.
Brittany Xavier was born on Nov. 23, 1986 in Los Angeles, California. In college, she studied political science and was on track to study law.
As of August 2021, Brittany has more than 1.7 million followers on Instagram, 272,000 subscribers on YouTube, 4.2 million followers on TikTok, and 2,300 followers on Twitter.
Brittany started her personal blog “Thrift and Threads” in December 2013 as a way to talk about her affordable fashion finds as well as her splurge-worthy finds and investment pieces. She got into fashion blogging when planning her wedding.
“How I became an influencer, I was actually really into wedding blogs while planning my wedding. That was actually my first experience with blogs. And after we got married, I wanted to continue in that fashion some way. So we decided to start taking photos of my outfits, sharing a little bit about what we’re doing in our daily life and it just really started to move on from there,” Brittany said.
In 2015, Brittany’s blog won the Breakthrough Fashion Blogger Of The Year award at the Bloglovin’ Awards. In late 2015, Brittany’s blog expanded to include a variety of topics, including beauty blog posts and travel blog posts.
That same year, she launched her YouTube channel where she posts weekly videos. Her channel has more than 23 million lifetime views and includes a variety of lifestyle and fashion content.
In 2020, Brittany launched her TikTok account. She said she joined the app after watching her teenage daughter post to TikTok – and she got hooked. “I view TikTok more as entertainment than social media,” said Brittany; she partnered with Michael Kors on TikTok content this season at New York Fashion Week. “It’s not a place I’m gonna share every detail about my personal life. It’s more of a way to reach a new audience, but also capture and entertain them with a takeaway value.”
Brittany is married to Anthony, a street style photographer. The couple has one daughter together named Jadyn.
