Best Class In Runescape Combat Type F2P: 5 Steps (With Pictures)

Hey all! So I played this game a very very long time ago. I am just coming back now and wondering what class to choose. I just want to have a good time, maybe do some pvp, and feel like I am accomplishing something or doing something cool no matter what I am doing. Any suggestions? Please don't abbreviate because I have no clue what they mean

Edit: really asking if I should use mostly ranged, magic, or melee and if there is a fun way to play one of these. Thank you for all of your very quick responses

Downvoting doesn't make me wrong
You're not really restricted to one style of combat, you can train all 3 any time you wish. However, I'd recommend starting off with Melee combat, since Ranged requires arrows to keep training and Magic requires Runes to cast spells. Ranged and Magic both have that “upkeep” to maintain with arrows and runes, which can be a burden on a new player. Melee, however, just requires a sword and you can stab sh!t infinitely.

Im sorry but pvp does not really exist..or its been dead since eoc was released..

As for the class, we dont have classes, you can train range, mage, melee , and just use the proper gear and spells and switch between them if you want, does not matter what you start out with.

Runescape doesn't have a class system, you can use each part of the combat triangle whenever you like, best to get all of them up

P.S. PVP is pretty much dead in RS3

By class I assume you mean combat style? Class doesn't really matter, lower tier stuff is primarily killed with Melee and as you get into higher tier Range/Mage really start to shine. You can get by using any of the 3 but it's best to keep a well rounded account.

If you meant like, a thief or a farmer kinda thing where you'd max out a certain skill that's no longer viable. You'll want to be a sort of jack of all trades.

If you like lore you'll be happy to know you can level up and max out skills very easily using quests and miniquests, there's a comprehensive guide in the side barhttps://www.lisbdnet.com/r/runescape/wiki/linkshttps://www.lisbdnet.com/r/runescape/wiki/index#wiki_helpful_links_for_returning_players

The one I'm referring to would be the “level 3 to master quest cape (mqc) guide”

As for PvP, there's a D&D called Warbands which is active for 5-15 minutes every 7 hours, that's one of the only places where PvP is active and yes, only for 5-15 minutes. There are also organised Wars after the Warbands wave where players will go and fight for 20-45 minutes but this is at a very high level of combat. You'll be expected to be amongst the “maxed combat” players otherwise you won't stand a chance.
