Awez Darbar is a choreographer, dancer and social media personality based in Mumbai, India. The dancer skyrocketed to fame shortly after joining TikTok and quickly became one of the platform’s most-followed stars in India and internationally.

Awez Darbar was born on March 16, 1993, in Mumbai India to father Ismail, a famous composer, and mother Farzana. He has two brothers, Zaid, a fellow actor and TikTok star, and Imaan. Awez also has two sisters, Moonzarin and Anam, a fellow TikTok star. 

He attended the University of Mumbai. From a young age, Awez wanted to grow up and be a dancer. Throughout his life, he also taught dance at Shiamak Dawar Dance Institute during college. 

As of September 2021, Awez Darbar has 10.8 million followers on Instagram, 26.1 million followers on TikTok, 2,138 followers on Twitter and 5.4 million YouTube subscribers. 

Awez first started his social media career when he started his YouTube channel in 2014 and started posting his own dancing videos to his channel. Some of the videos featured his dance group “Ace,” which he formed when he was in college with his friends. Since then, he has continued posting his own choreography and dancing to various popular songs. 

Awez skyrocketed to fame on the platform TikTok after he joined in 2018, where he posts his choreographed dance videos. His videos feature him dancing in all sorts of locations, using props like park benches and playgrounds. He has since become one of the most popular and most followed Indian TikTok stars. 

His videos also feature many of his family members, including his parents and his brothers and sisters, who have their own popular TikTok accounts. 

Awez has collaborated with several other Indian celebrities since skyrocketing to fame on the social media platform TikTok, including Bollywood celebrities Priyanka Chopra, Ritesh Deshmukh, Sara Ali Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Badshah, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and more. 

In addition, the choreographer appeared in the music video for “Half Boyfriend,” by Danish Alfaaz and Shriya Jain. The following year, Awez was featured in the music video for “Tum Na Ho,” by Arjun Kanungo and Prakriti Kakar. 

Since his rise in popularity on social media, Awez has opened a dance studio with brother Zaid and Tejal Pimpley called “BYou Academy.”  

Awez was nominated as TikToker of the Year at the 11th Annual Shorty Awards. 

In addition, Awez is a part of a “no filter” group on Instagram, which means none of his photos have no filter on them 

When it comes to his personal life, Awez has been linked to Nagma Mirajkar, a famous TikTok star in India. They have collaborated multiple times across social media platforms and post about their relationship frequently. The two have also collaborated on professional projects.
